Qatar Foundation wants to buy out the fresh stake in their joint merge up with Bharti Airtel one of the largest private owned Indian telco company has a 5 percent share in this venture which worth around $1.26 billion.
Due to such high end investments company will get more flexible in terms of growth & also make a strong capital based infrastructure.
Qatar Foundation Endowment (QFE) being an investor will acquire the Bharti Airtel’s share at a new rate of 340 rupees ($6.2) per share i.e. 199.8 million.
316 rupees is the closing price for the 7.5 percent premium raised to Bharti Airtel.Again this new investment has literally help the company to tackle such less profitable situation due to high cost of interests & such intensified competition across country.

Bharti Airtel one of India’s largest private telecommunication operator quarterly net profit has dropped near to half i.e. $94.7 million or 5.1 billion rupees.
Already 9.2 percent is the revenue rise in this current fiscal year where in the previous year the profit was around 205 billion rupees ($3.8 billion).
1.3 billion rupees ($24.8 million) is the amount in terms of increment in tax received by the company for the quarter as compared to previous year by profit cuts.
Reasons behind the fall in earnings were like Higher operating costs, including investments in network expansion.
Sunil Bharti Mittal the company’s chairman quoted ”With Africa over its peak of organic investments, we are optimistic about the potential for improved market shares and margin expansions.”

A special roaming packs has been launched for all Airtel based international customers to receive five hours of incoming calls mostly to the postpaid segment customer & outgoing call at 20 rs per minute only n U.S. & in the countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Australia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and United Kingdom, the customers will avail 40 rs per minute for outgoing calls.
Rs 779 and Rs 1,479 are the following recharge packs available to reduce the incoming & outgoing call rates to 20 rs per minute in some selected countries with full talk time packs. Both these packs can be used internationally & also in India.
In November 2012, Airtel has launched the same roaming packs in African soils to its mobile customers by making incoming calls free.

New 3G customers in seven circles can’t be added by telco major Bharti Airtel as per the decision ruled out by the Supreme Court & as a result of this company’s shares have fallen gradually.
Already the petition has been put to hold by apex regarding cancellation of intra-circle roaming in seven different regions where it used the services of Vodafone & Idea.

Different telco operators worldwide wants to bid for Myanmar telco license which will be issued for 20 years. Two applications are still not submitted to obtain the license by any operators as per news came Myanmar Government. So, Vodafone & China Mobile has joined forces to enter into this country & operate as a single unit.
Singtel, AIS, PLDT, Telkom Indonesia, Airtel and KDDI were some of the well known regional operators interested to buy a foothold in this telco license remaining in the country. George Soros’s Quantum Strategic Partners and local investor Yoma Strategic Partners were helping DigiCel the telco operator to participate in this unique bid.
60 million is the expected young and highly literate population & 5.5 percent per annum is the GDP growth rate. On the other hand mobile penetration is quite low i.e. around 10 percent & slowly Myanmar is turning out to be global telco market.
The two new licences will authorise the licence holders to build, own and operate a mobile network on a nationwide basis for an initial term of 15 years as per comment passed on by Vodafone.
Since 2000 Vodafone the UK’s premium mobile operator purchased a stake in China Mobile & from then both the companies were working as a partner, since 2010 the stake was sold by Vodafone but again started to handle the technical operations in the early 2011.

Customers can opt different tariff plans under VDSL category as per relates to their data usage & requirements. The First plan is named as Ultrasonic 3,999 offering 200 GB & additional 2,000 free voice minutes. The other plan is named as Ultrasonic 3299 offering 100 GB & extra 1,000 free voice minutes.

Extension of permits means Unified License to be obtained by the telecom operators to continue their services & also to buy new spectrum in their respective circles.
Kapil Sibal the telco minister commented when the operators like Vodafone, Airtel & Loop attempt to extend their licenses in certain circles ”Today the regime has changed licences and spectrum are two separate things. Previously, the spectrum was with the licence at cost of Rs. 1,658 crore. The licence can continue but spectrum on terms of Supreme Court judgement you have to buy.”
Already DoT has told Vodafone & Loop that their licenses could not be widespread since their licenses will be renewed again in 2014. Again the companies wants to continue their services in those circles then they have to bid for the respective airwaves by saying it to the Bharti Airtel.
8-10 days is the minimum time required to start the process of obtaining Unified License for the companies as per comment came from Kapil Sibal.
8 Mhz held by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone each in Delhi circle; 8 Mhz each of Loop Mobile and Vodafone in Mumbai; and in Kolkata 6.2 Mhz spectrum of Bharti Airtel and 7.8 Mhz of Vodafone that is due for renewal in 2014 were the 900 MHz spectrum identified for auction.

Vodafone’s telecom license in major circles like Delhi, Mumbai & Kolkata has been rejected from DoT as a plea to extend their licenses.
The company commented that “deeply disappointed with the summary rejection of its request for extension of its licenses in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata service areas by DoT”, adding that the decision “is against the interests of our several million customers in these cities/circles”.
Similar request from Bharti Airtel has been rejected as well confirmed by the top level ministry.
Vodafone said in a statement that there is no such acknowledgement from DoT’s end of full & faithful operation ib this 18 years license & also being the pioneer to enter into this market where there was no concept of mobile telephony in India by spending around thousands of crores to create such network.
Meanwhile the application of extending the telco licenses were pending & at the same time Airtel, Loop & Vodafone challenged the Govt.’s decision to auction the 900 MHz spectrum.
As per clause 4.1 the govt. can extend the validity of license by 10 years at one time only if the request arose from the operator end in the 19th year of the license period.
Govt. was planning to sold the remaining blocks of 1800 MHz airwaves but none of the companies take part in the auction happened in March 11 & also the renewal process of 900 MHz band airwaves to be take place from 2014 onwards.

In 2002 there were allocations of telecom spectrum(bandwidth) offered by government, so Sunil Mittal, the leader of India’s most big telco operator Bharti Airtel has summoned by the court against the following allegations put against him in that 2G case, so SingTel, the Singapore Telco Company backing up Mr. Mittal.
“We are confident that Bharti Airtel Ltd. and Mr. Mittal have always upheld and practised the highest standards of corporate governance in all aspects of the company’s operations, including the acquisition of spectrum,” as per statement from SingTel who owns 30 percent stake in Airtel.
The court has told Mr. Mittal to appear in front on April 11.
Millions of dollars can be put as a penalty if any of the allegations were found true & any of the top level executives of the company can be put in prison for minimum to minimum 7 years in a row.
Both on the floor of Parliament and by affidavit in the court that the spectrum allocated was as per their policies as per Indian Govt. added to the statement.

Today a big announcement has been made from India’s largest mobile carrier none other than Bharti Airtel about 4G/LTE-TD services in Chandigarh, a commercial launch has been made today. The 4G services will starting from 25th March 2013.
After Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, its time for Chandigarh being a fourth city to watch the Airtel’s 4G magic.
Tariff plans for all LTE supported devices will remain same. The LTE network in Chandigarh will be handled by Ericsson.
High definition (HD) video streaming, instant uploading of photos, rich content and much more were also some benefits being provided to the customers from company’s end. Qualcomm and Huawei has been chosen as a partners to launch the new & first multi-mode LTE TDD smartphone in India.
Already company is using ZTE equipments back there in Kolkata circle, Huawei equipments in Bengaluru circle, NSN equipments in Pune.
In Pune company has planned to deploy voice services via. CSFB(Circuit Switched FallBack) via. Live-Td-LTE network so that users can make voice calls and access voice mails on the same 4G smart phones.
