According to data unconfined by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), operators further eight million mobile subscribers in March 2012.

With this, the total telephone customer base in the country locates at 951.34 million.
Of this, Bharti Airtel further 2.50 million new coustomers, taking its mobile phone base to 181.27 million in the period beneath deliberation.
Idea Cellular added 2.01 million customers while Uninor, Reliance Communications, Vodafone India and Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited added 1.29 million, 1.04 million, 1.02 million and 0.42 million new customer, respectively.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) added 0.76 million and 58,681 new customer respectively.
Aircel, Tata Teleservices Limited and Videcon lost 0.68 million, 0.14 million and 0.24 million users in March 2012.

Mobile number portability (MNP) has trapped on well in the Indian telecom gap, say news reports.
According to industry approximate, at end-March 2012, over 42 million customers availed of the facility.
Of these, Bharti Airtel observe a net gain of 1.2 million users, Vodafone India, 2.89 million and Idea Cellular, 0.93 million.
Temporarily, Reliance Communications and TATA DOCOMO lost 1.47 million and 1.21 million subscribers correspondingly, while Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) lost 0.76 million subscribers.
Also, Aircel lost 0.36 million, Uninor lost 0.26 million and Videocon lost 0.27 million net users.

The Market share is the proportion of a market accounted for by an actual unit. According to data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).
The market share of Aircel has shown the dire decrease in the market share from the previous month.
As the COAI report shows the decrease in the addition of GSM Subscribers and market share. The market share of the Aircel in the month of March is 9.42% and in February it was 9.63%.
The market share of the Airtel in the month of March 27.30% and in February it was 27.22%.
The market share of the vodafone in the month of March 22.66% and in February it was 22.75%.
The market share of the idea in the month of March 16.97% and in February it was 16.85%.
The market share of the BSNL in the month of March 14.26% and in February it was 14.22%.
The market share of the Uninor in the month of March 6.39% and in February it was 6.26%.

So the COAI released the GSM Subscriber Figures report for March 2012.
As we have seen that the Idea top in the Febrarury. Now Airtel has added the maximum number of GSM subscribers in the month of March in figure, 2.50 Million. Idea cellular is the second largest number of subscribers with 2.58 million in February. The total Number of GSM subscribers of Idea is figured out to be 181.28 Millon with the market share of 27.30%.
The COAI data says that the total number of GSM subscriber in the March is 664.08 million and around 6.87 million with 1.04% increase from previous month..
Uninor whose licenses were cancelled in the 2G verdict added 1.29 million new subscribers, posted the third highest growth rate in March. The total number of subscriber of Uninor in March is 42.43 million.
Vodafone added 1.03 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Vodafone in March is 150.47 million.
Idea added 2.01 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Idea in March is 112.72 million.
BSNL has zero addition of subscriber in the month of February but this time BSNL added 0.89. The total number of subscriber of BSNL in March is 94.68 million.
Aircel is decreased with 0.68 Million. The total number of subscriber of Aircel in February is 63.26 million but this time it is decreased and reached to 62.57 million in the month of March.

The Market share is the percentage of a market accounted for by an exact unit. According to data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) the market share of uninor has shown the drastic increase in the market share from the previous month.
As we have seen that the Uninor that lost the license in 2G verdict, shows the good graph in the Indian market. The market share of the uninor in the month of February is 6.26% and in January it was 5.99%.
All others operator didn’t show this much drastic increased in the market share from the previous month.
The market share of the Airtel in the month of February 27.22% and in January it was 27.30%.
The market share of the vodafone in the month of February 22.75% and in January it was 22.93%.
The market share of the idea in the month of February 16.85% and in January it was 16.68%.
The market share of the BSNL in the month of February 14.22% and in January it was 14.42%.
The market share of the Aircel in the month of February 9.63% and in January it was 9.64%.

According to data released by the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the total GSM subscriber in the country stands at 656.86 million in February 2012 and in the previous month it was 648.08 million.

As per COAI’s report, GSM operators added 8.77million subscribers during this month and in last month it was 8.44 millon.
In last month Idea Cellular has added 1.75 million but with the drastic led this month 2.5 million additions.
Uninor added 2.3 million users and the total number of users are 41.1 million.
Bharti Airtel added 1.82 million users.
Vodafone Essar added 0.84 million coustomers to take its total users of GSM subscribers are 149.44 million.

The total Number of GSM subscribers of Idea is figured out to be 110.71 Millon with the market share of 16.85.
The COAI data says that tha toatal number of GSM subscriber in the February is 656.86 million and around 8.77 million new subscribers added with 1.35% increase from previous month.
Videocon which has recently said that he is going to close the services in some area added 0.35 million new subscribers, posted the third highest growth rate of 5.97% in February. The total number of subscriber of Videocon in February is 6.20 million.
Other leading operators Airtel added 1.82 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Airtel in February is 178.78 million.
Vodafone added 0.84 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Vodafone in February is 149.44 million.
Idea added 2.58 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Idea in February is 110.71 million.
BSNL has zero addition of subscriber in the month of February. The total number of subscriber of BSNL in February is 93.43 million.
Aircel added 0.79 millions new subscribers. The total number of subscriber of Aircel in February is 63.26 million.

(Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd) MTNL India’s first 3G mobile service operator states that they have crossed the milestone of 7, 00,000 “active 3G subscribers” in Mumbai and Delhi

The government owned company is also target a four-fold bound in its active 3G subscribers base through full-fledged up-gradation of its 3G UMTS/HSDPA (3.6 Mbps) network to HSPA+ to offer extra speed and improved coverage across all the corner of Mumbai and Delhi circles.
There are 5490222 (as on Jan’2012 data released by COAI) GSM mobile subscribers uses MTNL Network in Mumbai and Delhi. MTNL also provide 3G enabled services (Voice/Video/Data) to all existing users by defaults with no any additional charges.
Out of these existing subscribers more than 7, 00,000 users are “active 3G Data subscribers” who are using or subscribe any of Limited or Unlimited 3G Data Plans starting from Rs.99 per month.

The Market share of the Airtel in December is 27.46 % and increased by 27.30 % in January and In both Month it stands First in the Market.
The Market share of the vodafone in December is 23.10 % and increased by 22.93 % in January and In both Month it stands second in the Market.
The Market share of the Idea in December is 16.63 % and increased by 16.68 % in January and In both Month it stands Third in the Market.
The Market share of the BSNL in December is 14.47 % and increased by 14.42 % in January.It seems that BSNL has been decreased in the month of Jannuary.
The Market share of the Aircel in December is 9.64 % and increased by 9.64 % in January. By this data it looks like that Aircel is Market share is constant in both the month.
The Market share of the Uninor in December is 5.68 % and increased by 5.99% in January. By this data it looks like that Uninor as shown the good growth.

Uninor is a new player in the telecom but has made the place very quickly in the market. Uninor is an Indian mobile network operator stand in Gurgaon, India.
The company is a combined venture between Telenor Group, a telecommunications company headquartered in Norway, and Unitech Group, an Indian real estate company.
Uninor recommend mobile voice and data services work on the GSM technology. The company has more than 22,000 partners in India.
The Company is in progress in subscribers and market share. We have collected the data from sep-2011 to Jan-2012 which will show the progress of the Uninor of GSM Subscribers and Market share.
In Sep-2011 the number of subscriber of the Uninor is 29.65 Millions and it increase to 38.8 Millons in Jan-2012.
Similarly in Sep-2011 the market share of the Uninor is 4.80% and it increase to 5.99% in Jan 2012.
