Recently in world wide smart phones market Samsung has been releasing quite rapidly this new handsets under name ”Galaxy”. This new branding has change the market appearance in a short period of time.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will come in both Single SIM supported variant and Dual SIM Supported variant. Single SIM variant may have the Quad Core processor, while Dual SIM may have Dual Core processor.

Philippines will be the first place to showcase Samsung Galaxy Mega phablet duo. On June 15,Mega 6.3 and the Mega 5.8 phones are expected to launch although the pricing is yet to be confirmed.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 features  720p HD Ready& 8 mm thick display. It also contains 1.7 GHz Dual-core processor with 1.5 GB RAM. Other main specs includes 8 megapixel rear camera, 1.9 megapixel front camera, 8GB inbuilt memory, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 3,200mAh battery.

The  Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 possess a 5.8-inch qHD TFT display. 1.4 GHz dual-core processor is the powered point inside this handset. The battery capacity is 2,600mAh quite a unique spec in this low-mid-range phone. But this phone doesn’t feature LTE, since it contains all HSPA connectivity.

Global report has been launched by IDC on smart phone & cell phone sales for the first quarter of this year.

Last year in Q1 total smart phones shipped were 402.4 million units & in this year Q1 418.6 million units were total smart phones shipped where 216.2 million was the total number of smart phones i.e. 51.6%.

Samsung again shows its dominance in the market by shipping 115 million units out of which 70.7 million were smartphones. It is also interesting to know that Samsung possess 32.7% share of the global smartphone shipments & in the final quarter 27.5% of all phone shipments occurred.

Apple takes on the second spot in terms of smart phones shipments. Apple achieved 6.6% YoY increment which is much lower than global smart phone market but it is good in terms of 4% growth in cell phone market.

In terms of total phone shipments Nokia takes on the second spot with 61.9 million units & at the same time 25.1% decline YoY & also not in top 5 smart phones maker list in Q1 2013.

LG occupies the third spot by shipping 10.3 million Optimus devices with a good growth YoY whereas in 2012 LG sold 4.9 million units in Q1 of 2012. Standing side by side of the Korean Company Huawei also comes in picture with 10 million smart phones sold in the last three months.

Samsung is quite busy with its new flagship phones like Galaxy S4 but still it is working with some new range of devices. The company has put lights on its upcoming device i.e. Galaxy Core smart phone or code name as GT-I8262.

As per reports came from company this is a dual-sim phone. It possess some features like a display size of 4.3-inch WVGA , a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, RAM of 768 MB, 8GB internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, and a 5MP camera. It also comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the operating system to be run on Samsung Galaxy Core. It weighs 140 grams.

€320 is the expected price of this unique phone. It may be hit in Russia & China in mid-May as per rumors.

The company is trying to attract its customer towards high-end phones like its flagship brand Galaxy by providing 15 percent cash back offer.

Asim Warsi, Vice President of Samsung Mobile Division commented that ”The strong success that we are garnering with zero per cent finance-based offers encouraged us to offer the 15 per cent cash back offer with Standard Chartered and ICICI Bank.”

As per Mr. Warsi this offer will valid on some products like Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Grand, Galaxy Tab2 as well as Galaxy Camera.

Like Apple is promoting its iPhone through different finance schemes similarly Samsung is also promoting its Galaxy models since the starting of the year.

Through the introduction of EMI scheme, Apple has made a strong foot hold in the market.

In 2012 more than 1 crore Galaxy devices has been sold in the market & also holds 43 percent smart phone share in the country.

In India 221 million handsets were shipped in the year 2012 as per report made from CyberMedia Research (CMR).

On the other hand phone sales reached 172.2 millions in the year 2011 & 206.4 million in the year 2012 i.e. around 19.9 percent.

Smart TV & LED TV series will soon be introduced by Samsung Electronics in total 20 in number among these flagship models.

S K Kim Senior Vice-President (Consumer Electronics) Samsung India told that ”With the launch of our 2013 Smart TV range, we are looking to consolidate our leadership in the Panel TV market in India. We expect LED TVs to drive our Panel TV growth, with Smart TVs contributing at least 20 per cent of our Panel TV volumes this year.”

Two newly launched television with quad-core processor were named as F8000 and F7500 would deliver a high grade consumer experience.

New web browsers to be soon launched by Mozilla & Samsung developing from the ground level for its modern hardware. This web browser is develop to run on Android and ARM platform by the help of Mozilla’s new programming language known as rust. Chrome, Safari and Opera were some of the competitors still to look out by Samsung.

The greatest advantage behind this new web browser engine is that it based on parallel computing. The main moto behind its development is to successfully use all the cores of a mobile processor by utilizing its power efficiently as compare to other processors which do not use all processors at the same point of time.

There is not such detailed info available on Servo only that Mozilla is developing it on Rust programming language & this language is safe by default & it prevents systems from crashes and security vulnerabilities via. classes of memory management errors. Again this new engine is light in size so it do not put any such loads on all the CPU cores both on current & future mobile platforms.

No such specific release date has been shared by the company when Servo will be featured into the respective mobile devices & right now Mozilla is throwing all its major resources into this project by creating tools & enhancing the Rust’s performance.

Mega is the new brand name given to the large dual-SIM smart phone reportedly to be launched by Samsung. ”Galaxy Mega” brand will feature two new phones with large displays as per news came from SamMobile.

GT-I9152 is the model number of the first phone which is better known as  Galaxy Mega 5.8 named because of its 5.8 inch screen size & its a Android based smart phone with dual-SIM features & in white color this flag ship smart phone will be available in the market in mid May.

Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the other name of the popular Mega series phone from Samsung with a model number GT-I9200. Again this phone is named after its 6.3 inches display like that of  Samsung Galaxy Note. This new phone will available both in white & black colors in mid June.
