Rs 2,700 crore is the amount taken from the group of international banks as a loan & has been fully repaid by Reliance Communication.
The company quoted in an official statement that ”Reliance Communications made full payment of a syndicated ECB loan facility of $500 million, over Rs 2,700 crore, on the due date. The loan was taken in 2007 from a group of international banks.”
On December 31, 2012, Rs. 37,360 crore was the total debt reported by the RCom.
At BSE, the company shares were fluctuate at Rs. 110 a piece i.e. up 0.27 percent.

Recent sources has confirmed that DoT has asked Tata Teleservices to vacate the additional CDMA spectrum in the different circles across India except Delhi & Mumbai with the other telco operators.
DoT sources has stated that the Telco body may request TTL to surrender its one 1.25 MHz of CDMA spectrum in all respected service areas except Mumbai & Delhi without any such reason.
The reason behind the steps taken by DoT to ask the operators to give up their additional spectrum is mainly because government has impose one time access fee for the airwaves holding beyond the limit that was assigned to it for resuming the wireless network services.
The company will not surrender the extra spectrum as per DoT demanded, the company will wait for the final results of the petition held up before Kolkata High Court and Bombay High Court. As a result of which ”DoT would be bound to restore forthwith the surrendered spectrum in the event DoT actions are held invalid”.
120 days time frame has been asked by the company before surrendering its CDMA spectrum & re-organise its network, since the DoT may ask the company to impose one time spectrum fee.
Rs. 1,155 crore is the one-time spectrum fee imposed on TTSL’s CDMA license.
Already the company has paid 63 crore rs as an installment fee for holding up the additional license in Delhi & Mumbai circle as a protests to the Government.

There was a meeting scheduled with Finance Minister P Chidambaram & other group of ministers to discuss on the revival strategy of state-owned BSNL & MTNLbut later the meeting was cancelled. As per news came from PTI, one of the government officials said that the next date of the meeting yet to be decided & also quoted about the non-availability of Finance Minister today.
As per sources has quoted that the Finance Minister had to travel to Chennai so he was not present in the meeting.
P Chidambaram the Finance Minister is heading the GoM. This group was formed as per letter sent by Telco Minister Kapil Sibal to our Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the major concerns of its two loss earning PSU’s.
As per records shown in financial year 2012-13, MTNL incurred a loss of Rs 3,300 crore around & BSNL suffered a loss of Rs 8,198 crore.
Telecom Minister, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma, Law Minister Ashwani Kumar, Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office V Narayanasamy were the honorary members of GoM.

Qatar Foundation wants to buy out the fresh stake in their joint merge up with Bharti Airtel one of the largest private owned Indian telco company has a 5 percent share in this venture which worth around $1.26 billion.
Due to such high end investments company will get more flexible in terms of growth & also make a strong capital based infrastructure.
Qatar Foundation Endowment (QFE) being an investor will acquire the Bharti Airtel’s share at a new rate of 340 rupees ($6.2) per share i.e. 199.8 million.
316 rupees is the closing price for the 7.5 percent premium raised to Bharti Airtel.Again this new investment has literally help the company to tackle such less profitable situation due to high cost of interests & such intensified competition across country.

Bharti Airtel one of India’s largest private telecommunication operator quarterly net profit has dropped near to half i.e. $94.7 million or 5.1 billion rupees.
Already 9.2 percent is the revenue rise in this current fiscal year where in the previous year the profit was around 205 billion rupees ($3.8 billion).
1.3 billion rupees ($24.8 million) is the amount in terms of increment in tax received by the company for the quarter as compared to previous year by profit cuts.
Reasons behind the fall in earnings were like Higher operating costs, including investments in network expansion.
Sunil Bharti Mittal the company’s chairman quoted ”With Africa over its peak of organic investments, we are optimistic about the potential for improved market shares and margin expansions.”

As per top company officials Reliance Industries Ltd may put their towers on lease to Bharti Infratel a tower unit in Bharti Airtel.
Akhil Gupta Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Bharti Infratel told to press reporters that ”We would definitely be in talks with them, we would like to do more and more business with them. So as far as we are concerned they are very credible customer, so we would definitely be in touch with them.”
With a launch of 4G telecom services RIL is in talks with Bharti Airtel to lay undersea cable by taking the necessary infra from Airtel.
Again Mr Gupta also replying to a question about tower sharing deals going on between Reliance Jio Infocomm & Bharti Infratel.
Asia Pacific will get new data connectivity Reliance Jio Infocomm via. Bharti’s submarine cable network.
“Strategic Framework” would be build after the deal between this two new companies like Bharti and Reliance Jio collaboration will also help in other areas of development.

A group of advisers has been hired by Verizon Communications Inc to take full control of Verizon Wireless where Vodafone Group Plc is the joint partner, as per quoted by two known people.
Already of 55 percent stake in Verizon Wireless has been captured by Verizon & also not yet put a proposal forward to Vodafone. But again for an upcoming bid legal & financial advisers has been hired by the Vodafone.
As per sources Verizon wants to start a discussion with Vodafone about a friendly deal, if the British Company does not wish to talk then Verizon will take the bid public-ally.
Vodafone may not show any kind of interests in this deal as per news came from sources.
Actually Verizon’s has a secret wish to buy out U.S. No. 1 wireless carrier Vodafone or the so called joint British partner & as per recent sources Verizon is pushing aggressively for a deal.
Verizon is facing record based low interest rates & high in terms of stock prices & the company is confident to raise $50 billion from bank financing.

A low cost data plan has introduced by mobile operator Aircel & by introducing this offer company’s main objective was to push the threshold mark of mobile internet. The plan has named as PI 24 under brand name Pocket Internet. The users can avail this facility for 30 days with 100 MB usage of data.
Right now the above plan is available for 2G customers but the company is planning to launch the similar kind of offer to 3G customers. Again if the data volume usage finishes beyond 100 MB then the customer has only two option one is to recharge the plan again & another is to switch to another plan.

$25.5 billion is the cash & stock deal raised for Sprint Nextel Corp & the bid raised to bought this Corp was much higher than Japanese Mobile Phone Company Soft bank than Dish Network.
Japanese firm Soft Bank Corp is looking to close the deal by acquiring 70 percent of Sprint Nextel’s stake i.e. investing $20 billion & if this deal happens then it would be the biggest foreign acquisition ever. As per some sources the deal was going to be closed or finished off within summer.
Again the proposed transaction from an Satellite Television company i.e. none other than Dish Network includes $17.3 billion in cash and $8.2 billion in stock.
Each share worth $7 almost 13 percent of the premium would be received by Sprint which recently closed with $6.22 per share. $4.76 is the worth of single share in terms of share & 0.05953 Dish shares per Sprint share.
Already 13 percent premium to the existing SoftBank offer as per commented by Dish Network Corp. As a result Sprint could have save $11 billion by accepting the proposal.
$8.2 billion may be the amount funded in terms of cash from Charles Ergen Dish Network Chairman mentioned in a letter sent to James H. Hance Jr Chairman of Sprint.

Customers will get benefit in India, middle east, Europe and the US as Reliance Communication Submarine unit or better known as Reliance Globalcom wants to add capacity to their existing network, so the company has adopted Hawk cable system in its global network.
Reliance Globalcom’s President and CEO Punit Garg told in a statement that ”We are delighted with the seamless integration of the Hawk submarine cable system with Reliance Global Network… Our existing customer base of over 37,000 corporates in India and over 1,400 corporates in Europe and USA, along with over 200 carrier customers will benefit from this lowest latency network.”
5 million HD quality interactive video channels can be carried over this under sea cable system.
Yeroskipos in Cyprus and Marseille in France were name of some places where Hawk cable system was used. In India still Flag cable system provides the interconnection through the cable network.
Recently Hawk cable system being used by Reliance Globalcom through Alexandria in Egypt.
